Placing the flags is really janky. After the round ends it gives you a you won or you lost page that takes forever to start another round. Basically makes it impossible to try to play for speed. Such a downfall from the classic game and really frustrating because it used to be good

I love this game except when you blow up it changes screens and I can’t see what happened.

Thank you for replying to me but my game is still doing the same thing at the end of each round where it goes into a cartoon saying You Lost or You Won. Was way better before when I could see my results and didn’t have to wait for the cartoon to end to start a new game. It’s just a waste of time. Thank you for taking the time to correct this.

I’m still enjoying this I never knew this was math.

Tried to play the game. It asked for “age verification”. Absolutely makes no sense! But, apparently, if you’re older than 1970 you don’t get to play! Off to find a different variation… (preferably a different maker.)

The games constantly freezing and making it impossible to keep playing, multiple times per game I can’t move the screen or click any buttons, but the game timer is still going on so that ruins my times. Also I’ve ran into times where the numbers and the bombs just don’t match up, it seems impossible. On top of that when you do set off a bomb you don’t even get a chance to see the solved game screen, it’s as if they are trying to hide their janky set up. Overall a super unpleasant app can’t wait to find a new one

A two year old can play this, no valid reason for that operation in order to even begin the game, kick rocks.

This version of minesweeper has many bugs that cause me to lose even if I didn’t to anything wrong. It’s better to just download one of the countless of other minesweepers on the App Store.

Age required and will not allow you to play without entering an age. If you add a fake age, it will not allow you to play

At first i didnt mind the ‘game lost’ screen. But if you do seriously play this game this unskippable game lost screen starts to get super *ucking annoying. Game lost scene takes 3 or almost 4 seconds and it adds up. Like a lot. I wouldn't start raging if i could just start new games instantly without waiting the “punishment time”. I can and tried to just download different minesweeper games but every other minesweeper has bad font and bad colors, its just supper uncomfortable for eyes, thats why im sticking to this one but still. This game lost scene makes me want to just *ucking smah my phone. I know i lost, why do i wait 4 punishment seconds? This isnt team fortress 2 or cs, but i still have to wait every time i loose. I love the font and colors but still, *UCK you to the developers. I dont have adds because i use mobile data and i just turn off internet access to this app specifically in the settings

The upgrade is a disappointment, not an improvement, because: 1. The app often hangs up for 60 to 90 seconds, nothing can be done until the app reengages. 2. When you crash by hitting a mine, the closes instantly, so there’s no way to determine why you made an error.

The free version takes forever to run ads between games and the pay version is a joke. $15/year for ad free? No way.

This app used to be perfect. The visuals were better than the retro style of most minesweepers and it was super simple to open and play. Now the game is frequently asking you to purchase upgrades which I would be fine with on its own, but they added an unnecessary animation after ending the game that just wastes time. I would go back to this game if they removed that animation or at least gave on option to do so but as it stands, I’ll have to find another app.

Have enjoyed this game for years! Paid for ad free version long ago and suddenly they have changed the game. Now they have put the harder levels behind a pay wall with an annual subscription. Apps are not worth an annual fee and you will realize that the hard way. Total utter garbage from a once good developer. They have done the same with their Mahjong and Sudoku. So all have been deleted from my device and I have downloaded the same games from many other developers for free and for a small fee remove the ads. Not $14.99 a year! So goodbye and good riddance to you!

Game can not be played because of too many pop up ads. I’m deleting it. If you don’t want to pay for it don’t bother with this game.

While the game is simple, the new age requirement proves this is not about entertainment but about mining data about the users. Why would anyone need to be over a certain age or risk getting locked out of the game? Because they can’t gather data about children and sell it for a profit? Shady stuff.

I've had this Minesweeper app for a very long time and have really loved it. The latest update added a pop-up "y game lost", which is super-annoying. Please take it away! Otherwise it's very good, plays smoothly, the new stat page is well thought out.

This used to offer simple, unobtrusive game play. Recent updates have made game play less enjoyable. First, they changed the flagging operation so that it would toggle all adjacent tiles. So, if your tap was a little off, you had to go back and reset a bunch of flags. Occasionally, it would erase tiles so that they appeared like cleared tiles. The latest updates adds a silly animation screen after each game. Then, after a tap, it pops up the settings panel which just gets in the way of starting a new game. Now, I am looking for a new minesweeper game whose authors know enough to focus on good game play without a compulsion to get all cutesy.

This is totally unfortunate. I have to uninstall this app and find another one because the latest update requires internet connection and subscription to play the game. The app before this update was amazing. But not anymore now.

Liked everything until the commercial.

When in flag function, you used to be able to click on the square with the number to have all unmarked squares touching it go down, to help you count how many you had left. Now, it changes any flags you have labeled into question marks, and adds flags to all unmarked squares. Change the function back to the way it was, the new way is awful and inefficient.

This app is very addicting!!! Can’t seem to stop playing 😃 Just wish that it wasn’t so glitchy and don’t like the close up flagging

I have been playing minesweeper since the 386 PC. The latest update made it unplayable. I have sent two messages to the developer and have had no response.

Been playing for over 10 years. There remains an issue with the stats (the game thinks I’ve played 10k games of “medium” when I’ve only played maybe 20-30, but the 10s of thousands of games I’ve played at “difficult” show as only 1500 or so). This has been an on-going issue the last few versions. This latest update (12/2020) has now severely impacted the performance of the game. Scrolling the game board is now very “choppy” and presses are delayed by as much as half a second. I’m on an iPhone 11 Pro with nothing else running so there really is no excuse for that. Edit: The latest version manages to break gameplay even further. If you accidentally tap a number before you’ve tagged enough adjacent flags, for some bone-headed reason it now CHANGES you nearby flags. That’s right, the flags you’ve already painstakingly placed are changed without you touching them. Oh, and it rescales itself to the smallest size as well. So while it is still painfully unresponsive, it is now practically unplayable and badly broken. Great update, guys.

This upgrade is kind of confusing. I love the game. There should have been some notification on first start after upgrade.

While playing the Intermediate level on iPhone and iPad, the game ‘blinks’ and squares near or adjacent to the one I am touching spontaneously change status. This occurs in more than half the games I have played since the new update and usually occurs multiple times in a game.

The ads wont stop and theres no actual music in game and you cant zoom out on bigger ones

Played Minesweeper then Minesweeper classic then classic 2 for many years.. upgrading for a buck or whatever it was years ago has been way worth it. I have played 15k games at the hardest level since classic. Only win about 2%. One add popped up. Irritated by that. But maybe there won’t be anymore. Love this Game. My Advanced level win rate is up to 4%. I continue to learn little secrets about this game, even after nearly 20 years of play. 2022 update. Still playing after all these years. Using custom level. Made largest board and slowly worked up to 170 mines. Could not win at 170 mines. Tried for 6 months. Many hundreds of games. Came very close a few times but could not win. Dropped to 169 mines and won a game after 15 losses. I don’t want to think how many millions of games I have played. The upshot to playing a difficult custom game is that the Hard level is relatively easy.

Wonderful game, makes you really think!

1. Too many times do you have to make a guess (an either or guess move) to win a game after you have gone through all the moves to get to a win. Frustrating!!!! 2. It often takes too many times to be able to start a game successfully. I have gone maybe 15 minutes to be able to get to a good start of the game. This is very frustrating as you want to get playing and the bad starts go against your win percentage. 3. There are games which are impossible to win unless you make proper guesses. No matter how much you try to figure out a move to continue on, there is no proper move that can be made without a guess. An example of this is putting a bunch of mines together in a corner. 3. Your percentage of winning would go way up if you could eliminate 1, 2 and 3 above. I like the game when you can think through all the moves without the game deciding whether you win or lose.

I made the purchase to remove ads a couple of years ago, and at some point it lost my purchase and wouldn’t let me restore. I opted to purchase the ad removal again (initially marked $0.99) and when the purchase screen populates, it’s actually $15.00 TO REMOVE ADS WHY. The two prompts are different and it’s a bit misleading.

This app needs a “undo” feature for fat thumpers like me

Just had a game where the surrounding mine count conflicted, turns out I guessed wrong as to which count was correct.

Advertising appears after every game and stays on for seconds. What a waste of my valuable time. You steal my time from me. I will no longer use this program.

I’ve had this on my iPad for a few years. According to the new Privacy info in iOS 14, this app is tracking its users. I can see collecting ANONYMOUS usage data to see how the app is being used, but I don’t see any reason why that needs to be tied to my identity, or why games should be trying to track people in the first place, so ... deleted. Which is too bad, it’s a cute little game, a good way to pass a few minutes when I’m sitting in a waiting room or whatever. If a future version is released which doesn’t tie any information to my identity, I’ll install it again.

Would give you zero stars if I could. I had a custom screen size, 11 buttons by 19, 40 mines, that exactly filled the screen so I didn’t have to use the distracting and time-killing sweep left right up down to see the field. You need small-medium-large button size option. You need to get rid of the infuriating nag to turn on notifications. ***** I DO NOT WANT NOTIFICATIONS FROM MY GAME APPS. ***** You have ruined the app. What were you thinking!??????????

Bug in game

This app used to run smoothly, but ever since the update, the app has been pasting messages from my copy/past every couple of seconds. No way am I going to use this app after this. On a separate note, the app also got *super* slow after the update, to the point where it's unplayable. I average 95 seconds for the biggest board, and now it's too slow. There isn't even a point to using the app now because it's impossible to beat my lowest score with the added lag from the update. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this app in its current state.
